This week, the Mustangs participated in two dual meets; they won the first and lost the second.

On Thursday, West Perry defeated Waynesboro 55-16 in their home game.

Ridge Casner and Leland Folk won by forfeit after Braydon Lowe started the match with an 11-second pin.

At 3:20, Evan Shepard took a 17-1 tech fall, and Jackson Rush pinned his opponent in 29 seconds, giving West Perry a 29-0 lead.

West Perry swiftly regained the lead after Waynesboro grabbed their first points with a tech fall and a pin.

Aden Shephard increased the margin to 32-11 with a 7-3 decision.

The rest of West Perry’s roster picked up Tanner Zeigler after he lost against Tyler Rooney 17–2.

Christian Rhoads and Quade Boden won by forfeit to complete the 55-16, Tyler Morrison wrestled his way to a 19-4 tech fall, and Tucker Seidel got his opponent on his back for a 58-second pin.

There was a little struggle when the Mustangs played Chambersburg on Saturday.

West Perry lost by tech fall at the beginning, but Evan Shepard came back with a thrilling pin at 5:27.

The action continued with a 13-second pin from Jackson Rush. The score was 14–12 after West Perry lost the next two games.

Seidel added extra points with an 11-0 major decision, and Zeigler’s 4:51 pin placed West Perry back in the lead.

Not finished yet, Chambersburg regained the lead with a pin.

The score was then 28–20 after Morrison battled for his side and pinned Jacob Stoner at 1:19.

West Perry lost 40-28 after letting the lead slip away in the final four matches, which included a decision, a tech fall, and two pins.

The Mustangs will go to the Gettysburg duals on Saturday after playing Shippensburg on Thursday.
