Calvin Anderson, an offensive tackle, could return to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ lineup for their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. After missing four weeks due to a groin injury, Pittsburgh began his 21-day window to return off injured reserve. Anderson might assist the Steelers and provide them some depth at offensive tackle in light of Mason McCormick’s injury.
Spencer Anderson, who had played as the swing tackle in games, might start in McCormick’s stead. Anderson might be the extra tackle the Steelers need on the roster as a consequence.
Although Anderson is now labeled as questionable to play, the organization may activate him before Saturday’s game based on the release of wide receiver Scotty Miller.
At this time of year, the Steelers acquire two places for players returning from injured reserve. While one of those positions is probably designated for Troy Fautanu, Anderson will use the other for the playoffs. After tearing a ligament associated with the injury, Fautanu sustained a dislocated kneecap and needed surgery to treat it.
