The American Airlines Center in Dallas will host a game between two NHL Central Division teams on Friday night.

Colorado defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 2-1 in their most recent game on Wednesday.
In addition to scoring Colorado’s lone goal in regulation, Valeri Nichushkin scored the lone goal in a five-round shootout.
Colorado won for the eighth time in nine games thanks to Alexandar Georgiev’s 18 saves during overtime and five more in the shootout.
Mikko Rantanen is in first place with 14 goals and second with 32 points, while Nathan MacKinnon leads the Avalanche with 35 points.
Georgiev is 7-5-0-0 with a 3.26 goals-against average in 13 starts.
Dallas, meanwhile, is glad to be home following a difficult journey to Chicago, where it suffered a 6-2 loss.

Despite starting the game with the greatest goals-against average in seven NHL seasons (2.22), Dallas goalkeeper Casey DeSmith let up four goals on the first 14 shots he faced and received little assistance from his defenseman.

With 12 goals and 26 points, Matt Duchene is the Stars’ top scorer. The team’s other offensive leaders are Tyler Seguin (18 points) and Mason Marchment (20 points).
The majority of the Stars’ 15 starts have gone to goalie Jake Oettinger. He has an 11-4-0-0 record and a 2.43 goals-against average.
