The tight end for the Pittsburgh SteelersDue to a knee ailment, MyCole Pruitt was on the injury report. Although his practice was limited, this is not the first time this season the designation has been used. Pruitt’s knee has been troublesome ever since he sustained it in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos. Due to the problem, he has missed five games this season and missed training.
As a veteran, Pruitt has followed Arthur Smith, the offensive coordinator, everywhere. Stops in Tennessee, Atlanta, and now Pittsburgh are part of that. A team’s veteran tight end, Pruitt, frequently enters during their three tight end sets.
But same injury has persisted this season, making him ineffective for a large portion of it. His customary range of motion in space has been reduced. The Steelers would dress their three tight ends if he was unable to play, and they could call up practice squad member Matt Sokol if they wanted a fourth player.
