A Fulton County man who allegedly shot and murdered a 20-year-old father at a Chambersburg shopping mall last month was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police on Friday.
Around 6:10 a.m., a PSP Special Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence located in McConnellsburg near the 100 block of Buchanan Trail.
Police detained 32-year-old Joshua Bresnick, who was deemed armed and dangerous, during the search.
Following allegations of a shooting, Chambersburg police were dispatched to the Southgate Shopping Center at approximately 6:44 p.m. on December 18. There, they discovered Rakeem Floyd’s body in a road close to a Family Dollar. Investigators were informed by local witnesses that a brawl broke out before any gunfire was heard.
Floyd had a one-year-old son and was interested in clothes design and music production, according to his obituary.
Bresnickis faces charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, banned possession of a firearm, and carrying a firearm without a license. The date of his preliminary hearing is set on January 14.
