BALTIMORE –Against the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers sustained two more injuries. The organization believes that cornerback Joey Porter Jr.’s knee issue is a PCL injury. Porter attempted to rejoin the game but was unable to complete it, so Cory Tricere took his place. Donte Jackson, the other starting cornerback for the Steelers, was already sidelined due to a flare-up of a pinched nerve in his lower back.
Ben Skowronek, a wide receiver, is dealing with a hip problem in the meanwhile. From the early part of the fourth quarter until the completion of the game, he was in and out for the remainder of the game, but it stiffened up again at the end.
Although Porter and Skowronek will join DeShon Elliott, Larry Ogunjobi, Justin Fields, George Pickens, and Jackson as players the Steelers would like to have on the field against the Kansas City Chiefs in a short week, they are by no means assured of having those players. These injuries are still piling up.
