The most recent State College weather forecast for Saturday is, well, intriguing.

For fans attending Penn State’s college playoff matchup with SMU at Beaver Stadium, the news is mixed.

And for the Mustangs of Rhett Lashlee.

The good news? The competition, which begins at midday, is not expected to be affected by snow.

The bad news? It will feel even colder than it is expected to be.

There will be no risk of precipitation before PSU-SMU kicks off, and it will remain that way throughout the game, according to perweather.com as of 1 p.m. Friday.

However, 26 degrees is predicted to be the game-time temperature.

According to weather.com, it will feel like 14 degrees at midday at State College if you factor in the 14 mph wind forecast from the northwest.

Fourteen.

And then the game goes on? On Saturday, it will feel like 13 degrees at 4 p.m.

The weather at State College in November and December is probably nothing new to the James Franklin Penn State program. Recall that the Lions prepare for bowl games by practicing in December.

Additionally, when Penn State conducts spring drills at State College, it can get cold.

It’s unlikely that SMU has had many days with temperatures of 15 degrees.

Lashlee, the head coach of the Mustangs, stated the following regarding the game’s weather earlier this week:

The catch is that, according to Lashlee, they are playing in the same weather as us.

Like us, they must play a part in it. Additionally, I don’t believe they have ever played a game at home on December 21. The weather isn’t a significant deal, in my opinion.
