Beau Pribula, the former backup quarterback for Penn State, has had a very busy week, and it’s not quite finished yet.
He declared that he would use the transfer portal later that day after attending Penn State’s practice on Sunday. According to reports from 247Sports and On3, he visited UCF on Thursday after stopping in Missouri and Iowa earlier in the week.
Another twist to Pribula’s forthcoming agenda was disclosed by recent reports from the two recruiting agencies. In addition to his already announced trip to Indiana, he is scheduled to visit Ole Miss on Friday.
This season, the Central York native, who spearheaded a comeback victory over Wisconsin and supported Drew Allar for two seasons, threw for 275 yards and five touchdowns on 36-for-35 throwing. With 38 rushes for 242 yards and four touchdowns, he has been a crucial dual-threat component of Penn State’s offense.
Allar’s plans to return to Penn State for the upcoming season were the direct cause of Pribula’s entry into the transfer portal. Penn State looked for ways to allow Pribula to access the site and continue through the College Football Playoff, as James Franklin stated last week, but they were unable to find the ideal answer. It is evident why the decision had to be made given his extremely hectic visitation schedule within a week of his arrival.
Franklin assured him that Beau Pribula had no intention of leaving our program until the end of the season. However, he thought that he was placed in a no-win situation because of the portal’s design, its timing, the way our team is performing, and the fact that there is only one quarterback position and those positions are filling up. I agree with him.
I think Beau Pribula is a great young man. And each year I would recruit him. With what I currently know, I would absolutely recruit Beau. Beau spent his entire childhood dreaming of attending Penn State. His ideal school is this one. And here, he had an incredible career. And over all, I just want everyone to know that.
