Pittsburgh –The Pittsburgh Steelers’ second practice before their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens saw four players listed as absent. George Pickens, the top wide receiver, has been sidelined for the past two games due to a grade 2 hamstring strain.
For the past two days, Pickens has been working out on the side. On Wednesday, he even engaged in some intense running. Although it is encouraging that he might return sooner rather than later, it might not be sufficient for him to do so on Saturday.
The cornerback Donte Jackson hasn’t practiced this week due to a strained nerve in his back. He hasn’t done any side work like the others on the list, and it doesn’t seem like he’ll play.
Steelers security For the first time since suffering a hamstring injury, DeShon Elliott managed to get some work done off the side. He did not participate in individual drills, though, and it appears that he will probably miss another week.
Since sustaining an abdominal injury, quarterback Justin Fields has not played, so Kyle Allen is expected to be Russell Wilson’s backup this week.
Limited participation from Larry Ogunjobi and T.J. Watt suggests that both players will probably play against the Ravens.
