Pittsburgh –T.J. Watt, the outside linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, returned to practice on Wednesday, working off to the side in anticipation of a possible Saturday game against the Baltimore Ravens. Watt ran lightly while performing warm-ups off to the side.
He walked with a significant limp while performing those tasks. Less than a week after he rolled his ankle against the Philadelphia Eagles, the team is still hoping he can play on Saturday against the Ravens.
Watt didn’t practice on Tuesday, and his odds of participating have diminished since he hasn’t had any individual drills for the past two days. Although he might be promoted on Thursday to try again on Saturday, he will probably be marked as having not participated today.
On Monday, head coach Mike Tomlin expressed his optimism that Watt will play because of his slight limp. With the division at stake, he might attempt to bend, even if it is difficult to put all of his weight on his ankle because it will hurt a lot.
