On Christmas, the Pittsburgh Steelers and three other teams will play. A unique holiday-themed patch will be worn on the jerseys of the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and Houston Texans. The NFL made the announcement on Saturday and during the games on Christmas Day.

The NFL plans to use the patches, which will feature a festive NFL logo embellished with candy canes, to advertise their upcoming Holiday Remix schedule. Despite having their bye weeks at separate times during the season, all four teams will play three games in eleven days.
The Chiefs were off in Week 6, the Steelers were off in Week 9, and the Ravens and Texans were off in Week 14. Since Christmas falls on a Wednesday, it has become a bone of discontent for many in the league, but it is a necessary adjustment to the schedule. These two games were added to the calendar because the NFL wanted programming to counter the NBA’s Christmas Day games.
