After closing in 2021, one of the oldest department store businesses in America is thriving again.

Although Lord & Taylor will only be available online for the time being, the company’s current owners intend to revitalize the brand.

In 2025, Regal Brands Global, which purchased the intellectual rights earlier this year, intends to relaunch the company as a luxury e-commerce discount store.

According to Forbes and Fox Business, the store will sell a variety of designer goods including Lord & Taylor-branded items in addition to home goods, gowns, and shoes.

According to Sina Yenel, chief strategy officer of Regal Brands Global, Lord & Taylor should focus on long-lasting fashion, as she told Retail Drive.

According to a statement on the new Lord & Taylor websites, “We are thrilled to bring back our beloved logo and are dedicated to restoring Lord & Taylor’s reputation for exceptional customer service and quality.” Our main goal will be to launch new goods bearing the recognizable Lord & Taylor hallmark logo.

Founded in 1826, Lord & Taylor enjoyed widespread recognition for the majority of the 20th century before facing difficulties in more recent years. In 2020, it declared bankruptcy, and in 2021, it shut down every store.

After purchasing the property, Saadia Group tried to start an online store, but in March of this year, the business failed. In September, Lord & Taylor was purchased by Regal Brands Global.
