On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers revealed that offensive tackle John Leglue has rejoined their practice squad. They also let go of outside linebacker Ade Ogundeji in response. Following offensive tackle Calvin Anderson’s placement on injured reserve due to a groin injury, which prevented him from playing the remainder of the regular season, the transfer was made.
Leglue is one of the offensive tackles on the practice squad, along with Dylan Cook and Doug Nester. Although Spencer Anderson can play tackle and would step in if either Broderick Jones or Dan Moore Jr. were injured, the Steelers only have two genuine tackles on their gameday roster.
Leglue has been with the Steelers during three stints. Before rejoining the Steelers, he had played for the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons the previous two seasons. He has made five starts in his career, all while playing with the Steelers.
In the 2018 NFL Draft, 28-year-old Leglue was an undrafted free agent from Tulane. Instead of being on an active roster, he has spent the majority of his career on practice squads.
