Jelly Roll has always been a big guy, but he is now reversing that and showing how enormous he truly was.
The country music artist recently claimed to have been a 550-pound zombie during an appearance on his wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast.
Surprisingly, he says he hasn’t used Ozempic or any other well-known weight-loss medication since.
He stated, “We’re not against Ozempic or anything like that.” Every physician I’ve spoken to supports it. “It helps,” they said. It simply frightened me.
According to Jelly Roll, he stayed away from those medications because acid reflux is a known adverse effect.
“As a singer, I’m afraid of acid reflux more than most things,” he remarked. For example, you can see me get out of bed, wake up in a panic, burp, and go get something. Do you know? Because the vocal cords will be torn by such things.
He went on to say, “I simply could not afford any acid reflux.” I want to make it obvious that I did it organically and not because I was being stubborn or attempting to prove something. Go grab it if it helps. However, I was simply terrified of its negative repercussions.
He stated on the podcast that even though he has lost a significant amount of weight, he is not finished and even aspires to appear on the cover of Men’s Health magazine by 2026.
“I want to undergo one of the most significant changes,” he stated. I had a reason for doing this in public. I want to talk to people honestly about how difficult it is for me. I wore it for a very long time.
He stated that he believes that some people who lose weight and get as large as he did do so out of embarrassment and then go and hide.
He went on, “I wanted to lose it in front of everyone.” I want to bring others with me.
“I apologize for the delay,” he continued. I can’t believe I spent years walking around like a zombie weighing 550 pounds. Even when I look at the old photos, I feel empty.
