In York County, police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a guy they believe assaulted and stole an elderly woman’s pocketbook last week.
According to West York Borough police, the incident took place in the 1100 block of Rampart Avenue in West York early on December 12.
According to the West York Borough police Facebook page, authorities posted images of a suspect and a female companion and requested information on how to identify and find them.
According to police, the two were observed heading east on W. Market Street from Highland Avenue toward the Bravo at 1200 West Market Street between 11 a.m. and 12:12 p.m. From the vicinity of West Market Street, they also ran south on Dewey Street.
Police are encouraging locals and business owners to review their video surveillance cameras in an effort to find more photographs of the culprit.
West York Borough police are asking anyone with information on the suspect or his companion to contact them at 717-854-1975 or submit a tip via Crimewatch.
