The city of PhiladelphiaFive players are out of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ divisional leading game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Formerly known as top safety DeShon Elliott, starting defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi, and great wide receiver George Pickens, three of the inactives were ruled out on Friday.
Due to a grade 2 hamstring issue, Pickensis missed his second consecutive game. Although it looks doubtful, the team is hoping he can play next Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens.
As the week went on, Ogunjobi and Elliott were at least making progress, and they appear far more likely to suit up in a week than Pickens.
Since being activated off injured reserve, cornerback Cory Trice Jr. has not participated in any games. Given that James Pierre has stepped in to fill the special teams responsibilities that made Trice useful early in the season, this is not shocking.
Kyle Allen, the quarterback, will be the backup third quarterback in the meantime. For the first time since Week 10, versatile offensive guard Max Scharping is in action.
