Recently, Giants supporters used one to call on team owner John Mara to address the terrible season their struggling team is having. Before Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, an Eagles fan did the same, discussing the tension surrounding wide receiver A.J. Brown and quarterback Jalen Hurts.
A jet carrying the banner, “Enough Fake News!” passed over Lincoln Financial Field more than two and a half hours prior to kickoff. Philly is at 1 and 11. Hurts’ and Brown’s jersey numbers were addressed in the numbers.

A season-low 83 net passing yards in the Eagles’ victory over the Carolina Panthers the week before had raised questions about Hurts and Brown’s relationship before the game. Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham implied that Hurts and Brown’s friendship was not as strong as it once was during an appearance on his radio show on SportsRadio 94WIP on Monday night. Graham walked back his remarks and expressed sorry for speculating on another radio interview the following morning.
“I didn’t know all the details, and I made an assumption,” Graham added. I was like, “Dang,” and I still don’t. Actually, I was just reacting to everything that you all witnessed in the video. I ought to have applied a bit more reasoning. All I want is to win. I am aware that I did not add to everything as I had hoped. As always, I want to take responsibility for my actions. We must persevere through both the good and the terrible.
Later, Hurts and Brown addressed the issue, saying that they and the team were focused on getting ready for the Steelers game and that their relationship was OK. In order to prove that the passing game has been rectified, the game itself will test the two players’ ability to generate explosive plays against the Steelers defense.
The Eagles will need a potent passing attack if they want to contend for another Super Bowl. The Detroit Lions, who are vying with the Eagles for the top seed in the NFC, are among the five of the seven teams who currently have playoff places and rank 15th or worse in pass defense.
