Boulder (population around 1300) is the county seat of Jefferson County, Montana. It lies between Butte and the state capital of Helena along Interstate 15 by the gorgeous Elkhorn Mountains. Clancy and Montana City (population about 1300 each) are in northern Jefferson County near Helena.
